As promised, we’ve finished the new walks leaflet/map. We’re having them printed next week and hope to make stocks available (around the end of next week/early the following) at:
- The Rangers’ Hut (near Chasewater Innovation Centre)
- Chasewater Innovation Centre
- Brownhills West
- Chasewater Heaths railway stations

We went out to Chasewater today (because the weather was bright and clear and we weren’t), not realising that Pool Road is now closed. There was a notice on the fence (at the Visitor Centre end) explaining the situation and referring to a map showing alternative routes. Unfortunately the plastic sleeve containing the map has filled with “weather”, the inks have run and now it is just an abstract blue artwork. But we found the map hidden in your Blog when we got home and cranked up the laptop! So next time we will be prepared.
Thanks for letting us know, I’ll let the team know, so maybe they can replace the map. You can also pick up copies of the map from the Visitor Centre, and Chasewater Railway stations.
Could the notices around the diversion be replaced. They seem to have been damaged by water and some have been lost. Also, could the revised cycle route be made clear as it is not clear on the existing notices as a result, some cyclists have been following the footpath and have ended up in swamps and having to haul bikes over gates and fences
