As part of the multi-million pound project to transform three parks in Lichfield City, two catering facilities for Lichfield residents and visitors were created at Beacon Park. Both are run by Chandlers Group.
Lakeside Bistro
Lakeside Bistro is a purpose-built venue offering indoor and outdoor tables as well as a takeaway option. It is open 7 days a week and offers a full range of choices, including breakfast meals and snacks, hot and cold drinks, lunches, sandwiches, paninis, burgers, cakes, pastries, ice creams and children’s choices.
The new bistro is next to the pool, children’s play area and golf facilities. Not only is it in the heart of the park, it is also south facing to make the make the most of any good weather! It will also be a great venue for parties and functions.
Chandlers Cafe
Chandlers Cafe is in a mock Tudor 1930s building, which is said to incorporate par of the demolished Friary building. It is in Museum Gardens, next to the Bird Street entrance to Beacon Park, opposite Minster Pool. The cafe has al fresco patio seating in beautiful surroundings as well as a full take away service.
Open 7 days a week, the cafe offers hot and cold snacks, gourmet farm made pies, sausage rolls, pastries, sandwiches, paninis, cakes, fresh ground coffee, drinks, ice creams, and more.
