I hope this post finds you all in good health and enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
Today, I wanted to take a moment to update you on a recent meeting that I had the pleasure of attending. On Tuesday 13 June, I met with members of the Lichfield Chamber of Trade & Commerce at their monthly gathering. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local business owners, exchange ideas, and discuss the exciting work we are doing boost our local economy and drive visitors and income into our district.
I share an update on the various initiatives that Lichfield District Council is actively pursuing to further invigorate our local economy. The council’s focus has been on identifying and implementing strategies that foster growth, encourage entrepreneurship, and create an environment conducive to sustainable economic development.
I was delighted to engage in productive discussions with the passionate and dedicated local business owners who posed thoughtful questions and shared their invaluable insights, providing us with a clearer understanding of the challenges they face daily. These interactions will undoubtedly shape our decision-making process as we strive to support and champion the local business community.
It is worth mentioning that the Lichfield Chamber of Trade & Commerce holds a rich history, having been founded back in 1896. With a membership base encompassing approximately 80 businesses within the Lichfield area, this organisation has played a pivotal role in nurturing economic prosperity throughout the years. TogetherWe work together to foster a thriving local economy and to strengthen the bonds within our community.
As always, I remain deeply committed to serving the needs and aspirations of our residents, and I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with the remarkable individuals who drive our local business landscape.
