Knife Angel coming to Lichfield

Richard Cox

I have had some interesting meetings this week with senior figures from Staffordshire Police.

On Monday 26 June, I met Helen Fisher, Deputy Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire and Sergeant Tony McKenzie of the Road Policing Unit, at Staffordshire Police HQ Stafford, and had a constructive, informative and successful meeting.

We discussed the unlicenced and uninsured motorcycles that are a cause of antisocial behaviour across the district and also speeding vehicles.

On Tuesday, 27 June, I met Chief Inspector Matt Morgan, Lichfield Police’s newly appointed Commander.

This was another informative meeting where we discussed policing in the rural communities, policing and the night-time economy, high value car theft within the district and the Knife Angel and prevention of knife crime measures.
