Submit your register of interests – by 31 May 2023

To comply with the code of conduct you must fill in your ModGov register of member interests within 28 days of being elected.

If you are a returning councillor – even if you have submitted a paper register of interests in the past, which may not have changed, you still need to submit your new online register of interests within 28 days of being elected.

The main purpose of the register is to provide information about any financial interest you have, or any benefit you receive, which others might reasonably consider could influence your actions or words as a councillor.

You must register your interests within 28 days of being elected, and thereafter update your online register with any changes to your interests within 28 days.

Your register of interest is an online document that is stored in our ModGov system and updated online.

Our team will be on hand at the at the member induction sessions on:

  • Wednesday 10 May – 10am – 4pm
  • Thursday 11 May – 6pm – 8pm

We will show you how to access/fill in your register of interests, so please remember to bring along any details you need to complete your register of interests – for example details of companies you are involved in etc.

The team will also be on hand before each council/committee meeting in May to provide support.

If can’t attend one of the induction sessions, and need guidance on how to complete your ModGov register of interests, please contact Christie Lewis, Overview & Scrutiny Officer – christine.lewis@lichfielddc.gov.uk/01543 308065.
